It is Basket Ball season and fans are glued to the TV! In the game there is sweat, epic scores and gruesome injuries. The 2017-18 NBA season finally tipped off yesterday night with an epic doubleheader Here are some of the highs and lows.
Cavaliers Vs. Celtics
On Tuesday night, Lebron James lifted CAVs in opener despite being limited in pre-season with ankle injury. After missing four of Cleveland’s five preseason games with a sprained left ankle that he hurt on the second day of training camp, James logged a game-high 41 minutes against the Celtics and put up 29 points, 16 rebounds, nine assists and two blocks in the Cavs’ 102-99 win.
NBA star Gordon Hayward suffered a brutal lower leg injury just 5 minutes into his Boston Celtics debut against the Cleveland Cavs … and it’s absolutely cringeworthy. However, Jaylen Brown stepped up for Gordon. The 20-year-old sophomore starter showed poise beyond his years, as he notched a career-best 25 points on 11-of-23 shooting. He was also strong on the defensive end, as he corraled six rebounds and tied a game high with three steals.
Warriors Vs. Rockets
Or if you like, Golden State Warriors vs Houston Rockets. For one night, the Rockets were the better team, defeating the Warriors by a final of 122-121 at Oracle Arena. Kevin Durant hit a last-second jumper to seemingly lift Golden State over Houston, but a quick review showed the ball was still in his hands as the buzzer sounded.
In other news, Bulls forward Bobby Portis socked teammate Nikola Mirotic and broke his face and gave him a concussion at practice yesterday.
This has been three years in the making, a source said. Mirotic has broken bones in his face, apparently instigated, and Portis punched him

Africa’s richest man Aliko Dangote wants to buy Arsenal Football Club and his first business will be getting rid of Arsene Wenger. The Nigerian tycoon has always expressed his desire to buy the club, one of the most decorated football clubs in the football history. However, the club is currently owned by Stan Kroenke 67% and Alisher Usmanov, 30%. However, Stan has stated before that he has no plans to sell the club, something that Dangote feels can change if a good deal was tabled.
The first thing I would change is the coach. He has done a good job, but someone else should also try his luck,’ he told Bloomberg. Dangote is currently building an £8.5billion oil refinery in Lagos after which he wants to table his bid for the London-based club.
‘If they get the right offer, I’m sure they would walk away. Someone will give them an offer that will make them seriously consider walking away. ‘And when we finish the refinery, I think we will be in a position to do that,’ ha added.
Do you think it will be as easy for Aliko Dangote to get Arsenal? And what if he finally buys it, will it be wise to show Wenger the door? Tell us below.
