Describing gospel singer Kambua as beautiful would be an understatement. The talented, graceful and blessed singer uses her music to encourage her fans. Her latest release is nothing short of amazing; she features prominent Kenyan personalities who are a testament to God’s unfailing love
In her newly released song, Anatimiza which is Swahili for “He fulfills”, Kambua tells the story of three personalities who have overcome tragedies in their lives by the grace of God. The celebrities are Janet Kanini Ikua, Kanze Dena and Njeri Kaberere.
Last year, Janet Kanini was diagnosed with Stage IV lung cancer with the doctors giving her between one and five years to live depending on her strength to fight. However, later on in the year after undergoing treatment she emerged cancer free.
You were so so brave, allowing us to be a part of your journey through Stage 4 Lung Cancer. We prayed, hoped, and even when there were moments of doubt you held on to your faith and reminded us that God was not done with you. Now, you are free of cancer. True evidence that Jehovah Rapha, God our healer, is working even today! There is power in His name
Kambua says of Janet’s incredibly inspiring recovery
News anchor Kanze Dena has also experienced tragedy in her life. She got pregnant while in college but lost her baby girl three months after her birth. In the teaser Kambua said this about her
When you have had to deal with the loss of both a mother and a child, then you know that life has dealt you some serious blows.
The pain of losing those we love never quite leaves us, but looking at you now @kanze_dena , we see traces of a redeeming God. One who picks up our broken pieces and uses them to create a most beautiful masterpiece. Every-time you stand before the nations doing what you do best, we are reminded that death did not win. Grief did not win either. God did. Life did. You did! What a faithful God!”
Njeri Kaberere, wife to the late gospel artiste Peter Kaberere came to the limelight with the loss of her husband, who died by electrocution in his car while washing it on a Sunday afternoon. The loss was a huge blow to the entertainment industry but the one person who must have felt the gravity of the devastation is his wife.
At the time of his death, Njeri was expectant. Kambua had this to say about the beautiful widow;
@njeshqabbz What a beautiful, strong woman! We witnessed your grief upon losing your husband #Kaberere. It hasn’t been easy, because nobody prepares us for such loss. But now we get to see God heal you. We see you laugh, genuinely. Even when the tears fall we still see that the God of all comfort has faithfully carried you and your precious children. To God be the glory!”
Kambua has reminded us that there is nothing too big for our God to handle, and He is always true to His word. Kweli Anatimiza!
