On Sunday, 18th December, the whole world had its eyes on the ‘Miss World’ finals that were going down at Washington, USA. The world was keen to know who would be the new ‘Miss World’.
Puerto Rico’s Stephanie Del Valle won the much coveted award in the 66th edition of Miss World, shrugging off stiff competition from her Dominican Republic and Indonesian competitors who posed a big threat.
Africa was made proud by Kenya’s Evelyn Njambi who was the only act in the top five from the continent. Evelyn is a student pursuing interior design but says her dream is to be a news anchor. Her great inspiration is Mother Teresa,she want’s to be a mentor, someone who other girls can look up to.
