Everybody knows Huddah right now, in Kenya that is. She began her trade way before she shot to fame. Most of you won’t believe this but she was in Jaguar’s smash hit ‘Nimetoka mbali’ featuring Tanzania’s AY. Huddah began making headlines with her online personality of posing for some nude photos and the likes. Controversy was her middle name. She was that ‘bad gal’. Then she got a chance to represent Kenya in the Big Brother Africa in South Africa back in 2013.
Many saw Huddah as just fame-hungry, with all that she was doing. She used to hang out with Prezzo so much and soon we saw her in BBA (Not that Prezzo sent her there, no? But she was learning the trade). She then sent tongues wagging when some compromising photos of her and Colonel Mustapha surfaced. But watching closely, you realize that she had strategy. Slowly but surely, she was gaining popularity, and she was using the popularity to create a market for her products.

Currently Huddah is not a socialite, I mean, you can’t see her very often posing nude or doing such stuff any more. Huddah is an entrepreneur. She has her own cosmetics that are becoming a favorite to many, she has her own slimming tea that she even shared with Foreign Affairs CS Amina Mohammed and also, she is a marketer for different companies. Vera Sidika might be going round the world having fun, but indeed Huddah is going round getting deals and making money. For instance, she is headed to Cameron soon to promote her cosmetics, she’s been to New York and all that. This lady has indeed evolved.
Former Necessary Noize member Nazizi Hirji has for the past two weeks been undergoing medication after an unknown man attacked him. She has not said where the act took place, but in a series of posts on her IG she has narrated the ordeal.
Bongo hearth-throb Diamond Platinumz has been forewarned that ‘the diamond might be turned into water’ today. Celebrity Tanzanian preacher Bishop Joseph Gwajima made the remarks yeasterday after the singer released a song that had a line talking about the preacher. Well, this is what led to the whole stuff.
Bishop Gwajima is a celebrityy preacher whose church has a huge following in Tanzania and he has such a huge fanbase in social media. Weeks ago when there was war against drugs, he was also arrested as a suspected drug baron. This put him in logger heads with the government. Then last week, a popular artiste by the name ROMA was kidnapped by unknown people and it became a big deal, everyone in Tz was talking about it, with many fingers pointing at the government since he was anti-Magufuli since day one.
Diamond platinumz then did a very touching song over the crisis and somewhere he talked about the bishop, “mara nasikia vya aibu Konda na Gwajima eti ugomvi umekolea….ila kuchunguza kwa karibu ni kuna binti mmoja tu ndio kwa mitandao anachochea…“(He is speaking about the feud between the Bishop and regional commissioner of Dar es salaam), alleging that behind it all was a lady who fuelled it). The above made the reknown preacher go to his instagram page and post;
Sarcastic Diamond was quick to take to his instagram page and explain himself what he meant, and seemed to make fun of the threat.
Well, will Diamond be turned in to water today by the preacher? Let’s wait and see. Listen to the controversial song here.

Today a seriously melancholic mood engulfed Nairobi Baptist Church. This morning, a requiem mass was held for the late Janet Kanini Ikua. Hundreds of mourners attended the service with some of them being celebrities. The ushers for the sad event were Janet’s classmates at Precious Blood Riruta, Class of ’95…
It seems the colour of the day was yellow as flowers placed on the coffin were bright yellow and white with a studding photo of Janet mounted next to her remains.
In an emotional eulogy, Janet’s husband narrated how he met and fell in love with the beautiful mother of two.
How can anyone look so beautiful wrapped in a bomber jacket 5 times your size,
Ikua went on to say how nervous they were during their first date, which was actually a romantic walk.
The two met 14 years ago and their love blossomed into a beautiful marriage and they were blessed with two beautiful children. He went on to speak about the love of his life.
I had not thought it possible that such eyes exist until I bumped into you while wandering at Phoenix theatre having mistake a closet for the bathroom
I know your mother is reading this but bless her for creating such a beautiful woman with legs of a goddess,” he teases.
All his faults he says meant nothing to Janet and just like everything else in life she saw only the good in him and their life together.
It was certainly a befitting send of for a beautiful angel who touched the hearts of many Kenyans with her relentless fight towards cancer, her work on earth is done, but her spirit lives on. Check out photos of the memorial below.

Radio Queen Adelle Onyango is all about pushing the boundaries when it comes to her career. She recently started her YouTube channel called Adelle On The Loose. The amazing channel highlights the beauty’s quest for fun and her life away from the radio booth.
And now her latest video has taken a new twist. She took the time to talk to the toughest of dudes about one of the most sensitive topics when it comes to women-periods.
Adelle teamed up with ALWAYS for the #Always4TheGirl campaign. They have taken on the task of demystifying conversations around menstruation – especially with kids hitting puberty. She got tough rugby players, Harlequins’ David Ambunya, Pius Shiundu and Lyle Asiligwa to discuss what the know about periods.
We have made it something to be ashamed of, to hide, to talk about in closed rooms and hush tones. When it’s something to celebrate. And by having these conversations we also have to include men. Men around me claimed they feel left out because we women never involve them in the conversations. So this episode we strapped some rugby players in pads and quizzed them on periods. If they got the questions wrong there were watery consequences!”
The highlight of the shoot was learning that “there’s nothing to cringe about but everything to celebrate when it comes to periods. Also, if we open up the conversation then girls and ladies can ask each other questions!”
Adelle continued, “Oh man the wrong answers. Some guys didn’t know what PMS stands for which showed how badly we’ve silenced convos around periods. Also meeting men who donate pads to girls who can’t afford pads! That was powerful!”
It was amazing to see such macho men opening up about something that definitely needs more attention. Check out the hilarious and educative video below
