The weekend is  here and we need to spice it up with some Netflix and chill. Do people still say that? Oh, well, it is what it is. Netflix already got us for this month of February with some exciting films. Here are some of the movies/series that could take a look at.

About: A white cop critically injures a black teenager. The community begins to fight while a major trial takes place focusing on the incident.

Season 1
Genre: Coming-of-Age Fiction, Comedy-drama
About: Teens try to figure out life in high school. Also this takes place in the 1990s, so there’s a major nostalgia element.Set in the boring town of Oregon, Everything Sucks! follows two groups of nerdy outsiders – the A/V Club and the Drama Club – as they join forces to try and get through the pain of everyday high school life.

Genre: Comedy
About: Jamilah seems to have it all. She’s the president of her sorority, captain of the step dance crew, student liaison to the college dean, and she has been accepted to Harvard Law School. When the hard-partying white girls from Sigma Beta Beta embarrass the school, Jamilah is ordered to come to the rescue by teaching the rhythmically-challenged how to dance, in hopes of winning the Steptacular, the most competitive of dance competitions.

Genre: mystery fitcion
About: the new sci-fi series from Netflix, is figuring out the rules of the strange future universe we’ve been dropped into. It’s an adaptation of Richard Morgan’s cyberpunk novel Altered Carbon, set in a future where our minds are stored on “stacks”, discs that live in the back of our necks. It’s a development that turns bodies into mere “sleeves” and so a traditional death just means movement from one bag of flesh to the next.

About: a teenager and his mother find themselves besieged by threatening forces when they move into a new house.

About: Set in 2052, Mute is a noir sci-fi which follows Leo – a bartender who is unable to speak as a result of a childhood accident – on a search for his missing girlfriend.
