Week 2 of KCSE and the news is not assuming in some parts of the country. Bungoma, Mwingi and Kapedo suffered a great deal this time round.
Kellan Nekesa, 22, of Mabusi Secondary School was receiving treatment for Malaria at the Bungoma County Referral Hospital when she succumbed. She died right after doing her Fasihi paper.Her family members suspects that she was trying to have an abortion.
It is not the first time that a KCSE candidate has died this year in Bungoma. Anne Nakhumicha of Mitua girls’ secondary school died of a heart attack on 7,November.

Kenya Certificate of Secondary Examination (KCSE) on Tuesday started late in schools located at Mwingi central due to inaccessible roads following heavy rainfall. The exams had to be delivered via a chopper due to the floods.
Two police officers and an education officer were shot dead by suspected bandits in Turkana East yesterday, Tuesday.One officer is said to be missing after the 4pm attack on a vehicle that was transporting KCSE exam papers from Kapedo.
