For the past one week, the trending topic has been the feud between Otile Brown and his former management Dreamland Music Empire owned by music producer Dr. Eddie. Their fall-out came into the limelight after the management pulled down the singer’s videos from their Instagram channel. Then Otile went ahead and confessed in public TV that indeed things weren’t rosy in the empire.
Days ago, Otile Brown posted on his social media pages that he no longer had any partnership with Dreamland Music and whoever wants him for bookings and everything should contact him amd not Dreamland Music. Dust did not settle before the label also posted that the singer had walked out of a mutual contract and was bound by law not to use any of the songs he recorded with them, since he owns no rights. Something that came as a painful bang to fans who were forced to take sides. Hip Hop head Khaligraph Jones has reached out to Otile, telling him to engage Dr. Eddie in talks so that they sort out their issues. But it’s not yet over.
Earlier today, Otile defended himself saying that Dreamland didn’t own him 100%. He went ahead to say that he has tried to reach out to Dr. Eddie so that they sort it out to no avail. He says he will leave the matter entirely to his lawyer.
Reliable sources say Otile Brown has a collabo with Nameless coming out soon. However before then, his biggest hits are the ones he did under Dreamland. This is surely going to be murkier as time goes by. We’ll let you know of the ongoings.
