No sooner had Fetty Wap released the visuals to his single ‘Wake Up’ than the New Jersey Rapper had courted controversy for it.
The music video was shot in Eastside High School, the same school that Fetty dropped out of (which fits the message of the song, which is to inspire young people to find their path and follow it), and the issue lied in Fetty’s reference to Marijuana use and also the fact that there was a stripper pole in the middle of a class.
Investigations into the above issues led to the school principal, Zatiti Moody, on paid leave as investigations into who approved the video go on.
Do you think the school board was appropriate in suspending the principal? Also, do you agree with Wiz’s message of finding your path even if it entails leaving school?
