Game of Thrones has earned a reputation as a TV show with an infinitely higher number of villains or antiheroes than heroes, most of whom make up the bulk of the main cast (did someone say ‘Lannister’?). However, according to dedicated book readers and devoted fans of the story, the next character to be introduced is by far one of the most dangerous, being termed as the biggest threat to Daenerys ‘Khaleesi’ Targaryen and her dragons.
Euron Greyjoy is the younger brother of Lord Balon Greyjoy and the uncle to one character that we all love to hate, Theon Greyjoy. He will be played by danish actor Pilou Asbaek (although Hannibal actor Mads Mikkelsen was the overwhelming favourite to take the role), who bears a striking resemblance to Theon.
Pilou Asbaek, who has just been cast as Euron Greyjoy.
Theon Greyjoy, played by Alfie Allen.
His presence in the show is not good news for any of the characters as he is guaranteed to wreck havoc in Westeros, but it is good news for viewers. He is guaranteed to make an interesting show out of the sixth season of GoT, which makes it all the harder for us to wait for April 2016.
