I can only imagine the shock and bewilderment that would greet you if you’d happen to spot a bunch of pink dogs in your hood or somewhere in the streets.

Well, that’s what residents of Ongata Rongai woke up to last week after they spotted some pink dogs roaming about in the town.

Nobody dared go close to them fearing they were bad omen.

“It was shocking and disturbing. They caused a scene as residents took photos. The courageous ones tried throwing stones but the dogs were not moved,” said John Mwangi, a boda boda rider.

Lydiah Muthoni, a resident, said when she saw the dogs she took off.

“I have never seen such a thing in my life. Pink dogs? That was a first for me,”she said.

The Nairobian traced the dogs to their residence, a deserted corrugated house at Civil Servant’s estate along Gataki Road.

There was paint on the floor and the dogs must have rolled on the paint.
