The game kicked off on an interesting note. Barcelona’s Jordi Alba worked his magic and put his team mate Coutinho on the score sheet in the eleventh minute. Real Madrid were on the receiving end after Suarez scored a penalty after he was fouled by Real’s Varane.

Relief came for Real Madrid after a defensive mistake from Barcelona. This ensured Marcelo scored to get Real Madrid back into the game. Some more attempts came from the Real Madrid side but did not end in goals.

Barcelona were not done giving Messi his injury gift after Luiz Suarez equalized Barcelona’s third and fourth goal in the 75th and 84th minute. Arturo Vidal finally scored the last goal of the game after a well worked cross from Dembele.

Real Madrid have gone for three consecutive game weeks without a win. This has come with an impact as the Real Madrid board threaten to sack coach Julen Lopetegui. Real Madrid are hoping to bounce back after the embarrassing El clasico defeat.
