Thunder strikes in Madrid. Sevilla were out to run rampage over Real Madrid. Real, the only unbeaten team in the Spanish league ended their great start following a 3-0 defeat to Sevilla at Estadio Ramon. Andre Silva scored two goals while Wissam Ben Yedder sealed the deal to end the game.

Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema failed to slide through the well-organized Sevilla defense. Andre Silva scored in the first 17 minutes of the after Navas delivered a low cross past Real Madrid’s defense. This was after a clumsy mistake from the Real Madrid side. Another quick goal came in the 21st minute through a counter attack led by Navas whose shot was blocked by Thibaut Courtois but superbly placed in to the net by Andre Silva.
Wissam Ben Yedder in the 38th minute, scored Sevilla’s last goal after another defensive mistake by Real Madrid. In the second half, efforts from Gareth Bale from long range but did not see Madrid capitalize for a goal. More efforts from Luka Modric saw Karim Benzema scoring in the 54th minute but not tallied as it was from an offside position. More efforts from Sevilla saw Thibaut Courtois save Real Madrid from more humiliation. The trauma did not end there as Marcelo limped out of the pitch in the last fifteen minutes which meant he could miss the weekend Derby.

In other news, Barcelona was defeated 2-1 in the hands of Leganes. Real Madrid faces Atletico Madrid during the weekend and hopes to revenge their mid-week humiliation.
