Tanzanian hit makers Diamond and Rayvanny have finally faced the long arm of the law. The two artists were fined for their new Song ‘Mwanza’. ‘Mwanza’ which has been a hit on the air waves was banned from being played on any platform. The song was banned on grounds that it contains material that is not in line with the code of conduct in the country.

Diamond, Rayvanny and their record label Wasafi were hit with a staggering 9 million fine. Lets not get too worked up about it, the 9 million Tanzanian currency translates to 406,000 Kenyan bob.

It might seem like a lot of cash but u need to sit down for this. Diamond the famous musician stated that he does not perform in any international arena with less than 7 million shillings. That is $70,000. Well if you think it is too much for him, think again.

Diamond, Rayvanny and Wasafi records are each to pay 3 million Tanzanian bob as stipulated in the fine.
